Puddle

My children, fallen-
scattered, confused.
Ruthless tempests,
tearing dreams-
leaving…

Weeping, barren
branches, reflected-
helpless, huddled,
feeding,
the earth.

King maker, guide our
hands, deliver
us from Evil-
deceiving, promising
hope; delivering
death, in red boxes.

Open blind eyes,
that turn away,
suffering.
Prepare, these hearts,
to love those,
who hate good,
devouring widows.

Those mockers and schemers,
who play, with words-
juggling, the hearts
of the People.

Peacemaker, strengthen
these legs to run, this race;
keep on fighting, always
hoping, persevering,
loving, never failing,
nor forsaking.

Reign down,
Heart healer.

Your people, cry out
from alleys, broken
homes, mansions ablaze
in despair; while fools
prattle on in white houses
and parliaments; swallowing
harvests, yielding mites-
dolled out, drifting,
never to be held, by
needy hands.

Deliver us,
from the mouths,
of empty-
suits.

Hallelujah

Skin, covered
jagged, raised
swollen, scarlet
meandering rivers,
shining, still-
outstretched, pale
legs, sunken
hollow
woven, wounds…
paradoxically
pure spirit,
cleansed mind.
Celebrating,
Your
victories.

Politics of Being

Why do I care,
about the fly, going
into the fridge?
It’s a fly, going to
die, in what,
two days?
The food, is
protected. Why
do I care?
The moths, I
catch, and
release.
The spiders,
I move,
from shower
streams…
I guess, it’s
because, they
are alive.
God,
made them-
why
unmake
them?
