I turn off the light-
boldly rushing,
the night, slams into
the room, no social distancing here,
rudely interrupting,
this elegant foray.
bright moments
linger today,
cheering, a guffaw-
cast aside, by
impatient night.

Wind whips,
splashes soar;
yellow, crimson,
purple petals
delight.

Buzz buzz
bees bumble,
butterflies bounce
between blossoms,
monarchs, filling
azure skies.

White owl
rises, at noon-
luminescent, golden
fiery splendor,
beaming bright,
beatific beauty,
hymns ascend,
notes transcend,
earthen hands.

Non-Fiction

Brambled branches
torn, reality
unborn, from
silver screen,
scraping vaulted
blue, wavering
waters tumble
through lucid
streets, dreams
dancing during
daylight, forsaking
ebony haunts,
lines, distant
few, pass
through, the
breaking
of
days.

Killed,
beaten,
held down-
spared,
constantly being made,
trying to turn you back
as you fly by
in a nick-
saved,
you heal
all wounds,
often wasted,
flooded with you,
and then, not
enough, we’re
so fickle,
us silly
humans,
let’s
hope, that
now, we’re
not out
of You.
