shivering-
sorting it

Lens lie, on
Silver screens.
Opening night,
taking a bite-
I try, not
to gag.
Ocean waves,
override, this
yammering,
spewing, on
and on,
lips moving,
washing,
over me.
Zappity zap,
lightning cage,
insects burn.
Standing firm-
convicted. I had
everything. Stumbling,
upon you-
a bad day.
Empty handed,
barren feet, fed
up, needing
distraction,
from the Heat.
Sweet sixteen,
so sour, the
words, expectations-
Glamour knew me,
Prosperity beckoned-
feeding bushes-
with loathing.
Running rat,
chasing cheese.
Oh please. Be
a good boy.
Provide, like a
man. Sobbing-
finding a
vein.
Pain today,
gone tomorrow.
I know-
where it’s going,
where it’s been.
hope hewn
journeys,
always
end. Bleak
nights, joy
filled
mornings,
robins singing,
I join
in.
