I strike a spark
in the dark,
words aflame,
eliminate shame.

Writing of
things unseen,
as if they were real;
all in all,
a looking glass feel.

Alas, in wonderment,
the words they abound,
binding deep wounds,
when the King
is in town.

Painted toes
reveal her mood,
bespeckled flecks,
a Swedish brew;
singing to the 9,
a midnight tune;
dreams gone
astray,
moments too
soon, wondering
in the night,
will he be
all right?
Tossing and
yearning,
inwardly
burning, of
days gone
by- secretly
hurting.

Solidarity

Discordant winds
traverse turbulent skies,
weeping and sighing,
“Oh my! Oh my!”

Lightning strikes
once, twice-
three times
upon the lone
pine. Standing tall,
among furs,
pining eyes
set, on brothers
nearby.

A tree falls,
can you hear it?
Will you stand,
amongst stumps,
or raise a call?

Guest Pass

Delicate souls,
beautifully created;
each story, each life-
your woven tales,
aspirations, dreams,
struggles, victories;
laughing with you,
crying in your pain,
praying for you, honored-
you’ve stopped by here.
