I walk
feeling cool rain on my
hot body.
I see
empty beaches,
bottles strewn,
closed doors,
silent streets,
silence.
Rain,
a magnifying glass,
it shows me the world,
how it is.
No great ball of fire
to blind me
hiding the figures
distorting the truth.
Passing others,
unsheltered
hiding,
fighting
to live.
Walking,
I stop,
think,
now this,
is Venice beach.
