Peace,
peace, peace
of mind.
What is peace?
Comfort, of
routine, daily-
your prison,
it was-
now, longing
fills your heart.
Highways and
byways, bumper
to bumper,
daydreams-
ebony terrors,
empty lines,
waiting…
Missing-
normal.

Watching the rain
through the window,
blowing in the silent
wind, the sun
bathing droplets,
remind me,
I’m behind
the glass,
stuck, like
a bug,
inside this
jar, of
nine
to
five.

Sharp

intake, of
breath- flashing
eyes open-
midnight skies
pervasive, linger-
heart racing
bwathump, bwathump
bwathump, sleep
slips swiftly,
rising, rushing
ready, got
to get,
ready, rushing
rushing,
into
the
fray.

Shadow Work

skittering
the dashboard-
scarlet scenes,
bumper to
bumper.

Eleven o’clock
meeting, willows
whisper.

Forgotten fields
tumble, through
cubicle walls.

Ridges rumble,
during calls.

Crawling home,
finally-
alone.

Pen to paper,
dry,
as
bone.
